This morning you will visit Kufri situated at an altitude of 2500 meters just an hour’s drive from Shimla. Jakhoo Hill is the highest point of Shimla which is covered with Alpine trees.There is a colourfull Jakhoo Temple and the newly constructed Hanuman statue at the top of the flat hill. It is a favourite escape for visitors wanting peace and calm from the city far below.Jakhoo Hill Shimla is 2455m and approximately 200m higher than the central ridge of Shimla.The route to the hill follows a 2.5 km footpath with long sections of steps this walk is invigorating in the clean and crisp mountain air of spring and autumn but challenging during the height of summer.Mountaineering and trekking is one of the biggest activities in the Jakhoo Hill.



Mall Road is the main street in Shimla.It was Constructed during British colonial rule the Mall road is located a level below the ridge. Locals and tourists are often found strolling on the road in the evenings because except emergency vehicles no automobiles are allowed on this road. The offices of municipal corporation fire service and police headquarters are located here. The road has a number of showrooms department stores shops restaurants and cafes.The market is going to keep you very busy and extremely happy.

SIGHTSEEING : Viceregal Lodge

Viceregal Lodge is also known as Rashtrapati Niwas.It was designed by British architect Henry Irwin and built in the Jacobethan style during the regime of Lord Dufferin. Its construction started in 1880 and was completed in 1888.Viceregal Lodge was formerly the residence of the British Viceroy of India.It has some of the most ancient articles and photographs going back to the times of the British rule. Viceregal Lodge is the most historically significant and architectural impressive building of the region that makes for a pleasant half-day excursion.

Shimla to Manali via Kullu

Today you will proceed by road to Manali (274 kms / 7hrs) a picture-perfect hill resort at an altitude of 1,929 meters. Set amidst pine-clad mountains, which gradually close in on both sides of the Beas and nestling in their shade, as though carved out of primeval forest, is a scattered hamlet, which comprises this picturesque resort. Pandoh Dam lies in the Mandi district of Himachal Pradesh, which is constructed on Beas River. The primary purpose of Pandoh Dam is hydroelectric power generation.The visitors travelling to Manali get a perfect location near the dam to click great pictures as the location is highly picturesque and full of lush greenery. Rafting is also done here, in the lower bed on a commercial basis.The place is an ideal spot for picnics as the surrounding area of the dam is somewhat isolated and hence provides the necessary tranquillity and serenity to the visitors.

This morning you may take a Local tour of Manali, visiting the 450 years old temple dedicated to Hadimba Devi, which has some excellent woodcarving. You also visit the Tibetan Monastery, Van Viharika, Mall Road and the handicraft centre. SIGHTSEEING : Hadimba Devi Temple (Hidimbi)

Also known as the Hadimba Temple, Hidimbi Devi Temple is a unique shrine dedicated to Hadimba Devi, who was the wife of Bhima and mother of Ghatothkach, located amidst the snow covered hills of Manali, in the State of Himāchal Pradesh in north India. Surrounded by gorgeous cedar forests, this ancient cave temple is built on a rock which is believed to be in the image of the goddess herself. The structure was built in 1553 and the construction style of the temple is entirely different from that of any of the other temples, with its wooden doorways, walls, and cone-shaped roof.



The Mall Road is one of the most popular tourist attractions in Shimla that enfolds many hotels, restaurants, clubs, bars, banks, shops, offices, post offices, and tourist offices. People can walk up and down the Mall road slowly and enjoy the scenic views of the nature while sipping their favorite coffee. A lot of people gather at the Ridge and Scandal point on Mall road to meet and talk with friends, see the views of the Himalayan range and to do some shopping. The Mall road is connected to the Ridge at the Scandal point, where a statue of the nationalist leader Lala Lajpat Rai has been erected.

The major attraction of the monastery is the handicrafts of Tibetan artistry and the carpets that are woven and sold in the monastery.

This morning you visit the Solang Valley and the not to be missed Rohtang Pass (If open at that time), 51 km fromManali at an altitude of 3978 meters (subject to weather conditions). On the way you will enjoy Gulaba and Water Fall in evening back to Manali and Overnight stay at Manali.




Gulaba is a perfect substitute to Rohtang, located at a distance of 16 km from Manali.It is a village, designed and manned as per the guidelines of National Green Tribunal Act.
